Tyler Clancy was appointed by Governor Spencer Cox in 2026 to serve as Utah’s State Homeless Coordinator, where he leads statewide efforts to address homelessness through stronger coordination, accountability, and expanded pathways to recovery and stability.
Previously, Tyler represented House District 60 in the Utah House of Representatives after being elected at age 25. During his service, he chaired the House Ethics Committee and championed legislation focused on homelessness reform, public safety, and economic opportunity. Tyler also served as a detective with the Provo Police Department, bringing frontline experience in public safety and community issues to his work in government.
