Want to make your voice heard on an important issue? Join us for a special Opinion Writing Workshop with Dr. Danny Frost, Director of Public Scholarship in the School of Family Life, professional author, and editor. This great workshop will be on February 27th at 5 pm in 238 HRCB. Learn how to craft compelling op-eds that grab attention, get published, and spark change! If you missed the workshop, check out the recording of it here: Recording of Dr. Frost Workshop
After the workshop, put your skills to the test in the Office of Civic Engagement’s Opinion Writing Contest, running from February 27 to March 20! Crafting an op-ed is a powerful way to advocate for your ideas, influence public discourse, and engage in civic life. With $500 in cash prizes up for grabs, there’s even more reason to participate! The first-place winner will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Frost to refine and submit their op-ed for publication. This contest is open to all BYU students, regardless of major—don’t miss your chance to make your voice heard! Enter at civicengagement.byu.edu/op-ed-contest
