Lynn Davis is married to Lenore Davis and they are the parents of 5 children and 12 grandchildren. Lynn will retire on Jan. 1st, 2021 as a Utah District Court Judge.
He has served as a judge for the last 33 plus years and is a graduate of the BYU Law School. (Charter Class of 1976)
He has focused his career on equal access to the courts for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals and has lectured and published across the country in that field. One article published at the Harvard Law School became mandatory reading for every new judge in America. Legislation that he helped to draft has been adopted in every state of America.
He has presided at tens of thousands of cases over the years, but clearly, his most enjoyable cases are adoptions. He has continued contact with many of those families over the years. He has also performed 1,000’s of marriages in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and loves serving in the community, around the state and across the country. In his spare time he loves to be in the mountains. God’s creation evinces, proclaims, inspires, nurtures, witnesses and invites relief, respite, replenishing, refreshing, renewal and reverence. Occasionally, he still plays the 5 stringed banjo and harmonica in a bluegrass band.
