Jackie is an award-winning nonprofit executive and community advocate. She was named the 2022 Emerging Nonprofit Leader by the Utah Nonprofits Association (UNA) and received Utah Business Magazine's Living Color Award in 2024 for her impactful work as Executive Director of Centro Hispano (Elevate Utah), where she has significantly grown the organization and expanded access to vital resources, programs, and advocacy for Utah’s Hispanic community. Her leadership is grounded in a strong background in health education and a deep commitment to improving community well-being.
Over the past six years as CEO, Jackie has led Elevate Utah through transformational growth—tripling the organization’s budget, expanding services, and helping serve approximately 100,000 individuals. With the support of her team, she developed Utah County’s first nonprofit immigration legal clinic and secured over $500,000 in emergency funding during the COVID-19 pandemic to help families pay essential bills.
Previously, Jackie worked in Arizona at the Mohave County Health Department advocating for youth with special health care needs, developing workforce wellness programs, and creating support groups for parents raising children with mental health challenges. At the Utah County Health Department, she successfully advocated for improved health education and developed and implemented curricula in local schools.
