Campus Cup Competition
BYU is participating in the Lieutenant Governor's annual Campus Cup, a competition which allows various universities from across Utah to compete for the ownership of the Campus Cup trophy, cool prizes, bragging rights, and a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor. In order to gain points, colleges must encourage new students to vote, participate in pre-election events, visit a ballot office, and collaborate with other offices to keep registration forms this fall. The goal of this competition is to increase involvement and engagement within college communities. Many students move to their college towns and feel detached to what is happening around them, but registering to vote and participating in other civic events helps students realize their impact. It is also important to participate in elections to make sure your voice is heard.
